Strivolabs ("we", "us", "our") is a talent placement and technology services firm headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, with offices in Abuja and London. We operate the website at www.strivolabs.com.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Job applicants: First name, last name, email address, phone number, LinkedIn profile URL, CV/resume file, and any information contained within your CV.
  • Contact form submissions: First name, last name, work email, company name, and message content.
  • Talent pool enquiries: Name, company, work email, and message from employers expressing interest in a candidate.
  • Website usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on pages (collected via analytics tools when enabled).

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To process job applications and match candidates to suitable roles
  • To contact you regarding recruitment opportunities relevant to your profile
  • To share your anonymised or redacted profile with prospective employers (personal contact details are never shared without your consent)
  • To respond to enquiries submitted via our contact form
  • To connect employers with candidates they have expressed interest in
  • To improve our website and services through analytics

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Consent: When you submit your CV or contact form, you are consenting to us processing your data for recruitment purposes.
  • Legitimate interests: To operate our recruitment business and connect talent with employers.
  • Contract: Where processing is necessary to perform a contract with you.

5. How We Store Your Data

CV files are stored securely on Cloudinary (cloud storage). Candidate records, application data, and enquiry records are stored on Firebase (Google Cloud Firestore), which is encrypted at rest and in transit. We implement access controls to ensure only authorised Strivolabs staff can access personal data.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

  • Job applications: Retained for 12 months from the date of submission, then deleted.
  • Talent pool profiles: Retained while active in the pool. You may request removal at any time.
  • Contact form data: Retained for 6 months.
  • Analytics data: Retained in accordance with Google Analytics retention settings (default 14 months).

7. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

  • Prospective employers: Only with your knowledge and as part of the placement process. Personal contact information is never shared without your explicit consent.
  • Service providers: Cloudinary (file storage), Google Firebase (database), Google Analytics (website analytics). These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.
  • Legal authorities: Where required by law.

8. Your Rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and, where applicable, the UK/EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Object to processing of your data
  • Request restriction of processing
  • Lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) or, for UK data subjects, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)
